Esther joined Mazars as Partner in September 2009. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Esther started her career in the accounting profession with one of the big four accounting firms in 1992. She left the firm to found Esther Yap & Co. in 2000, and in 2002, spear-headed the founding of Pronett Tax Solutions Sdn Bhd, a tax firm providing tax compliance and tax planning to small and medium size enterprises.
She has wide experience in statutory auditing having been involved in local and multi-national corporations from small to medium private companies to large public listed companies.
Esther has also been involved in other special assignments such as due diligence, prospectus preparation, long form accountants’ report, internal controls review. Esther has a special interest in forensic accounting.
Through her tax firm, Esther has hands-on experience in corporate tax compliance, withholding tax, services tax. In addition to the above, she is also involved in tax advisory, tax planning, tax audit and tax investigation, for corporations and expatriates.
